Species: Qwuedeviv
(Kwuh-'deh viv)(Kweh de 'veev)(Kweh ‘deh viv)
Other Names: 'Devivs, Alien Kitties, QDV

About Languages
The Qwuedeviv learn new languages pretty fast. Their own language is more dependent on tone than the spoken word, thus when learning other languages, sometimes they will toss together utter nonsense as long as their tone is conveying how they feel about something.

Physiology:
Overview: Qwuedeviv are an androgynous race of aliens who share many feline and shark-like qualities. They tend to adapt their appearance based on their environment.

Detailed View: Qwuedeviv are morphing creatures in their younger stages. Up until adolescence, their appearance largely depends on their environment. This includes things ranging from the shape of their limbs and appendages, height, outer skin layer density and much more.

For example, those who live in more humid regions tend to have very minimal fur if any and tough, rubbery skin. Their tails are usually flat and sometimes wide, mimicking the appearance of a much more amphibious based creature.

Most Qwuedeviv who live in the central, dry portion of their planet have a resemblance to a noseless cat with relatively stubby, short muzzles and rounded facial features. Their claws are long and sturdier than most cats however. Although further investigation is needed, it is suspected that they are composed of a more bone-like material. If removed, they do not grow back.

The Qwuedeviv have sharp and jagged teeth. Some are wide and flat on the sides—although still pointed at the tips— while others are more rounded and resemble rows of curved needles. Qwuedeviv will grow replacements if previous sets are damaged. This sometimes causes more than one visible row of teeth at a given time. The appearance of these teeth is likened to that of a shark.

The large majority of Qwuedeviv possess multiple eyes. Two is ideal. They usually have a set of eyes on their faces but this is not true one hundred percent of the time. They possess a certain illusion quality that allows them to mask their eyes from sight which has given some the false impression that they are blind creatures. It is important to note that they can see perfectly fine through their own eye disguise.

Eyes are very common to find all over their bodies—or what appear to be eyes anyway. Much the same way some snakes have illusion faces, the Qwuedeviv do likewise. They may have hundreds of eye-like patterns down their backs, on their legs or anywhere else really. Although in most cases they are in fact, just illusions, some do possess additional sets of eyes which they use more prominently.

A smaller segment of the Qwuedeviv can change their fur color. These individuals actually have transparent 'fur shafts' and skin that allow the chromatophores of underlying layers to show through. They are capable of changing their appearance based on their surroundings; this trait is supposed to act as a camouflage technique to keep them safe from predators. Unfortunately, most any who have been morphed by their environments have usually lost this trait.

Qwuedeviv have short, velvety soft, but dense fur. The outer layer is water repellent to an extent, coated with oils to keep them relatively dry. Consistent exposure to moisture and water will dissolve this coating though, rendering them more susceptible to becoming a sponge. A thoroughly soaked Qwuedeviv will take many hours to dry off.

Qwuedeviv are poikilothermic and as such, will move to different environments based on their needs and adjust accordingly. They are more likely to let themselves overheat than touch the dreaded and hated water though. Although largely reliant on the conditions around them, they do have a few features to help with temperature management.

Their large ears help keep them cooled off if a breeze is present and most have a practice of resting during the warmest parts of the day. They are most lively in cooler weather and their thick fur provides adequate insulation. As a note, some Qwuedeviv have ears that resemble shark fins or something similar.

Qwuedeviv have specialized sensors, usually located on their heads to detect changes in the environment around them. This helps them to determine in advance if they should seek better shelter or a cooler or warmer environment. These 'Weather Sensors' often appear as unruly, long, rows of fur that sprout up and over the center of their heads like the spines of a fin. Alternatively, some—usually the more minimal fur branch of Qwuedeviv—possess long flaps that rest against their heads. These flaps rise up when actively checking weather conditions and also have a secondary intimidation purpose.

Another common trait of the Qwuedeviv are 'skin flaps.' These are anywhere between a couple inches long up to twelve inches. Although their true purpose is not entirely clear it has been suggested that they promote more efficient cooling. Whether this is true or not has yet to be proven. Regardless, many Qwuedeviv possess these 'skin flaps' along their backs, heads and sometimes ankles and wrists.

In some individuals, this is also a case of contracting various bacteria and simple life forms that tend to live as a part of them. Although Qwuedeviv do not really see this as a reason for concern, it can usually be distinguished from natural skin flaps if they are constantly moving about in a disorganized manner.

The physical structure and height of a Qwuedeviv can vary greatly. Once again, their environment plays a role in how tall or small they will remain, but can be broken down into two primary categories.

The smaller Qwuedeviv have lithe and flexible bodies. Although their limbs do not differ in appearance, they are usually well muscled enough to pounce, climb and hang from numerous things. Despite their hatred of water, Qwuedeviv are strong swimmers, some even having tails shaped specifically to aid in such endeavors.

The larger Qwuedeviv still retain a relatively gangling appearance, but as many of them mature they begin to fill out some, and eventually, depending on their living conditions and individual practices, become more robust. Larger Qwuedeviv are not nearly as fast and don't seem to bounce around like their smaller counterparts.

All Qwuedeviv have certain pliancy and can recover from numerous bad falls without extensive injury.

Due to the Qwuedeviv’s lack of anatomical differences, they are considered both genderless and gendered. That is, Qwuedeviv have no gender distinguishing, anatomical organs. The felines tend to be very similar in appearance and the vast majorities lack any true notable difference to be identified as male or female—there are exceptions. Qwuedeviv do technically have a gender—but the only way to tell is through bloodtests which will show which way their chemical balance of chromosomes aligns. This is often the easiest way to tell a ‘male’ from a ‘female’ given the vast majority of Qwuedeviv have the same, lithe bodied build.

Despite genders existing, one will most likely find a Qwuedeviv referring to itself as an it within their culture. This is because their entire population is a military and the military operates ‘genderless’ as is common military protocol. This does not mean that the Qwuedeviv do not recognize that their species has technical genders, but rather that the concept of is utterly of no importance and will not sway their decisions in matters of work one way or the other.

Some Qwuedeviv may refer to themselves by their gender on free time or off planet. Once again, this is only occasionally though—more often than not it is merely to help other species understand how to view them as the whole concept of being both gendered and genderless by classification confuses most other species. Worth noting though, Qwuedeviv are fully capable of telling male and female apart within their own species.

Qwuedeviv also possess the unique ability to sense others of their same species amidst crowds or other populations via energy frequencies.

Senses: (As comparable to a Human)

Sight: The sight of the Qwuedeviv is relatively average. They have decent night vision as well. By nature they prefer to be more active at night.

Hearing:  Qwuedeviv have excellent hearing and are especially sensitive to high-frequency sounds.

Touch:  The Qwuedeviv love the sense of touch more than any other. They have a particular fascination with how things feel. Their feet and hands alike are both very sensitive (this is also why the Qwuedeviv usually have something over their feet).

Taste:  The Qwuedeviv's sense of taste is pretty average although it largely varies between individuals.

Smell:  Almost nonexistent. Qwuedeviv do not have actual noses. Most of them do have strange gill-like slits that function much the same way—they are not always visible from beneath their fur though.

Diet: Most have pretty hardy stomachs and will eat whatever happens to be native to their location.
They prefer unripe fruit as a sort of treat.

Their main diet consists of a variety of meats as their species is primarily carnivorous.

Qwuedeviv Varieties:

As previously stated, Qwuedeviv appearances are largely dependent on where they have grown up at. There are several distinguishing features that help to classify the appearance of these types.

Aquatic: Aquatic Qwuedeviv have very short fur if any at all. Their skin tends to be more rubbery and they possess flat tails. Overall these Qwuedeviv retain more aquatic life features than the others do. As one could expect, aquatic Qwuedeviv are the most likely to enjoy swimming.

Common: Common Qwuedeviv look most similar to a cat. They possess medium, soft, dense fur and are most likely to retain the trait for camouflaging their fur color. Their color palette tends to be less vibrant than those from specific regions, but can still be most any color.

Desert: These Qwuedeviv have short to average length fur. Their entire body may not be covered by fur however. Many have boney growths jutting out from their backs, shoulders and various other locations. Their skin is tough and leathery.

Arctic: Arctic Qwuedeviv are often easy to spot as they are the fluffiest of all Qwuedeviv. Their thick fur blocks out a lot of the cold in their environment. Arctic Qwuedeviv’s ears are surrounded by a thick layer of fur. Fur also covers the inside of their ears to keep snow out. Additional thick tufts of fur may be found on the back, around the neck, arms, feet, or legs. Sometimes this causes their paws to appear plump.

Tropical: These Qwuedeviv are often the most colorful of all the types with complex patterns.  Their look has been described as very exotic. Most are very sensitive in how they handle change in environmental temperature. This leads them to also being the highest maintenance.

Natural Defenses:
Claws
Qwuedeviv have long claws usually of a black or brown color. These claws are relatively short during kitten years and grow longer and thicker as the Qwuedeviv matures. Unlike cats, a Qwuedeviv’s claws only grow once. If the nail is pulled, it will not come back. Some Qwuedeviv may have to file their nails down due to the length as it can become more trouble than anything.

Teeth
Qwuedeviv have teeth mimicking that of a shark. The bite of a Qwuedeviv can have devastating effects on soft substances like flesh. The teeth of kittens however are fairly rubbery until they mature.

Fur
Although not particularly a defense, Qwuedeviv, much like earth cats, can fluff out their fur to make themselves appear bigger than their true size. Just as it does for earth cats, it’s simply a bluffing technique and an attempt at intimidation. It doesn’t have much impact on other sentient species though. Qwuedeviv do not heavily rely upon it, but as a natural reaction they do tend to fluff up when startled or frightened.

Illusion
Qwuedeviv do not possess any elemental abilities to the best of anyone’s knowledge, however, as illusionists, they can put on a harmless show. They use this tactic to frighten those who do not know it is merely a bluffing technique.

Some resort to these techniques more often than others. It is pretty hard to tell what kind of elemental illusion a Qwuedeviv has based on its glowing eye color. Regardless the main varieties seem to be Electric, Ice, Fire and Psychic but then it really doesn’t matter.

Feline Trickery
The term has come to describe the Qwuedeviv’s natural scheming, conniving nature that makes them the alien kitties that they are.

Species Abilities:
Some Qwuedeviv are particularly skilled swimmers, but unless they have grown up in such an environment, most utterly hate water. Their species traits vary greatly as does their appearance, however a distinguishing mark of their species’ abilities is simply flexibility.

Qwuedeviv ‘weakpoints’
Qwuedeviv weak points consist generally of the following.
Scritching base of ears, between ears, or rubbing ears. Combining all said actions will generally render a Qwuedeviv to a limp blob state. It is a truly the greatest weakness. Above their muzzle in the general region the bridge of the nose would be might also produce similar results. Although no Qwuedeviv would admit it, they are often fond of scritches in general—under the chin, back of neck, along the spine, and near shoulder blades.

The easiest way to battle Qwuedeviv is with affection as the felines are horribly susceptible to it.

Psychology:

Family:  Due to the way Qwuedeviv are created, they do not have knowledge of what many would consider a ‘traditional’ family set up. Many Qwuedeviv do not know who they are related to. Thus family is broadly considered to be their personal crew unit or the Qwuedeviv who live in their barracks. Kittens are most commonly raised in massive clowders by a group of Qwuedeviv whose very task is just to manage kittens. Kittens are not given individual attention in this manner, and a large portion of their social and behavioral problems get thrown on their instructors later on. However the Qwuedeviv still seem to find this to be the most efficient way to raise them. It is not mandatory for kittens to be raised in the clowders though. Despite these cultural oddities, it should be noted that although they may not use the term, ‘family,’ like humans do, Qwuedeviv are extremely protective of those close to them. The bond of a mentor/apprentice is equivalent to a parent and child. Additionally, Qwuedeviv crews become very close with each other and the unit thus operates as what many of us know to be a family.

Community: Since the Qwuedeviv are all involved in their military, the community does have common ground. Some Qwuedeviv get along better than others but on average they all like a decent deal of personal space and although they have adapted to being in close quarters, it is also the reason there are so many fights. Fights are perfectly promoted in their community though for both entertainment and social rank order. Despite the fact that Qwuedeviv in close quarters do not get along particularly well, they also do not fare well in the absence of others. Like most sentient life, they require companionship to some extent, even if they think those around them are useless.

The entire Qwuedeviv community will protect their kittens against outside forces—whether related to the little cats or not. They are fiercely protective over their young. Additionally the whole Qwuedeviv community is in part responsible for raising the kittens. Although there are Qwuedeviv officially assigned to oversee them, the others are to help guide and direct as they see fit as well.

Most Qwuedeviv do not know who they are related to due to the way Qwuedeviv kittens are ‘born.’ But the species as an overall is incredibly adoptive with bonds that form as real as any biological connection could form. If a kitten is adopted in by a Qwuedeviv, all those living in the near vicinity will also care for them like parents.

A lot of times, groups of kittens will be assigned to different barrack quarters and thus those residing in such will oversee them. The bond they develop tends to be lesser this way though than if the Qwuedeviv personally has chosen to care for a kitten. Most Qwuedeviv either really love the kittens or really hate them, very few are indifferent.

Beyond the social structures of caring for kittens, the Qwuedeviv live in what are called barracks. Now, they don’t exactly look what most humans would think of when thinking barracks, but that is their name. The barracks of the Qwuedeviv are much fancier, although the arrangements are fairly similar. Several Qwuedeviv will live in the structure—most of the time the arrangements are set for entire crews to remain together, but sometimes, depending on who is managing what and what sorts of conflict are going on, crews may be split up and simply placed with random Qwuedeviv. Being near the Qwuedeviv they will be working with helps prepare Qwuedeviv for when they are commissioned out to various missions, and lets them get acquainted and familiar with each other for better results.

Government:  The Qwuedeviv government is composed of the same individuals who are the leadership of their military. The two are one in the same in the eyes of the Qwuedeviv. Either way, the officers of the military are usually not very friendly. Some of them have no interest in the overall wellbeing of their people. To say their leadership is corrupt in places is plentiful of an understatement. They generally rule over the mass through means of intimidation and the bribery of individuals to enforce their rules. There are certain guidelines and restrictions that even their leaders must adhere to proclaimed by the Qwujakuhl. They are mostly free to direct their species as they see fit so long as it does not affect the other two species negatively.

Culture:   Qwuedeviv were originally a pet species for another alien race known as the Jala Tuur’ga that really had nothing but time on their hands to mess with science and things no sentient lifeform should try and control. Having no local pet species themselves, they began the hunt to find something that was both entertaining and intellectual. The Qwuedeviv thus are presumed to have been a scientific experiment of sorts--a hybrid.

Unfortunately, being cat-like in tendency, the felines weren't very content to remain as the lower species of their planet. Some got the idea that Qwuedeviv should rule over all. It was this revolutionary idea that drove the Qwuedeviv to plan a massive planetary leave. Their former owners were disappointed, but being a peaceful race, allowed their pets to leave if it made them happy, at least for the time being. The Qwuedeviv of course never thought twice about it.

Qwuh-9 Qwuedeviv are the resistance. They stand for freedom against the Jala Tuur’ga as pets. The only problem is they have no idea what they actually want to achieve beyond a name. In such, they Qwuedeviv have a sort of pointless existence. They go and do whatever catches their attention. Their refusal to help other species makes them rather disliked though. They are currently raiding Qwuedanjj to rescue test subjects and liberate the rest, however they do not realize that the Qwuedanjj Qwuedeviv simply do not want to be a part of it.

The Qwujakuhl allowed the Qwuedeviv to settle on their planet as refugees. The original Qwuedeviv to the planet were not beings of war. After watching how other cultures succeeded and accomplished great things they noticed militaries were a large part of the means. To get there faster and not appear weak or needy—the image they hoped to destroy—they decided to make their entire species a military, presuming the numbers would make them a powerful force.

They took it to an extreme however, fearing any outreaches would be considered a weakness, and they agreed not to assist any other species. This got them hated by many and in the beginning they had many wars. However as the Qwuedeviv population expanded, they began to achieve what they wanted. Fear. Fear of retaliation. Their population was so vast that it was unwise to attack them. This also led to a decline in challengers and boredom. And so the Qwuedeviv began looking for trouble—which they found. The little beasts alienated themselves from the other species more and more, always tight knit to their own kind above any other. After developing their military, they began having trouble with the Qwujakuhl who did not agree with their practices.

They made a treaty to an extent, not to attack and invade planets that did not first challenge them in some capacity. Granted, that means they search for just about any reason they can think of.

Being ruled by the Qwuedeviv, however, is really not a bad experience. They like to rule in name only. They aren’t interested in changing their ways of life and if anything, are rather curious of other lifestyles and sometimes implement some of it in their own. Qwuedeviv are known to settle in other lands with their military posts…and proceed to do nothing. Ruling in name only.

The Qwuedeviv migrate around to their various conquered lands, usually leaving behind a group to maintain it. How often they actually succeed in conquering anything is undetermined. They hardly ever settle down into normal living since their never ending agenda always has world conquest at the top priority.

Thus their culture is adaptive to an extent. Qwuedeviv are curious creatures and often times will take great interest in the culture of those they plan to conquer. The Qwuedeviv have adopted practices from all kinds of different cultures, making their own something of a mystery to outsiders.

Although their species is indeed all military, they do have other parts to their lives. Those currently not stationed off planet or on any kind of mission are free to indulge in whatever it is they like. Qwuedeviv are known to be great supporters of violent sports games and some of the Qwuedeviv enjoy participating in them.

Although the Qwuedeviv is all a military in name, a lot of it operates like aspects of ‘regular’ life. There are Qwuedeviv who farm for food for their society, those who process clothing, janitorial services, repairs and building, mechanical and scientific development etc.

They also study alien plants and have been developing medicines and cures for all sorts of things. Sadly they have thus far refused to share their knowledge with other species, making it fairly irrelevant to most—a silhouette of the Qwuedezoa’s method of operation.

Qwuedeviv Military Academy (usually called “The Academy”)
Basic Training for Qwuedeviv starts at a young age. Although the kittens are separated by age, kittens from older classes still circulate with the others in between classes. Leadership has proclaimed this to be a healthy structure for learning. Despite the fact that it results in a lot of bullying—the leadership proclaims this as learning how to deal with threats larger and stronger than one’s self. Given the Qwuedeviv’s stubborn nature, this is probably a lot safer for the felines than having their first lessons be with other species.

Kittens begin to learn a lot of their fighting basics here. They aren’t subjected to any live fire exercises in their beginning years, but they do have long hours in classrooms and some practice of hand to hand combat with instructors. Kittens at this age aren’t allowed to spar with each other. Of course a large majority still do.

Aside from fighting basics, the set up is a lot like a military academy. Kittens are free to pursue additional elective classes that interest them so long as they maintain their grades in all of their core curriculum.

Military Field Training
Once kittens have attended the first phase of their training several years (actual length may vary depending on their learning rate), they move up into the next phase of their training. This includes going out on practice missions all the while watching videos of other invader crews and learning from and discussing approaches. Kittens begin to be sifted through at this point as to which are more natural leaders. Kittens also begin to work as military units. This stage of training is fairly rigorous; not all kittens make it through which is perfectly acceptable to the Qwuedeviv.

Invader Crew or Intern Stationing
Once through all their basic training, some kittens may be placed together as entire rookie teams, but most are spread out through existing invader crews to learn from the others. Those chosen to be leaders are often given evaluation runs of recon or small scale invasion with a crew compiled of both rookies and veterans alike.

Not all Qwuedeviv kittens are assigned to invader crews. Some stay back to be instructors or work at stations on Qwuh-9.  These kittens take on the role of an intern or apprentice depending on the circumstances.

After they have successfully completed a mission or their internship is declared over—with positive results—they graduate from the Military Academy. At this point they can request to be transferred to certain crews, fields, etc. Whether or not their request is granted is another story. As could be expected, the longer they are a part of crews or stationed at the work, the higher their value is and requests for more coveted positions are more likely to be granted.

Etiquette and Mannerisms:
It is considered polite to have one's eyes visible when amongst the company of other Qwuedeviv exclusively. To ignore this etiquette is a great insult to those around and may cause disassociation.

Why they prefer to hide their eyes from others is not entirely clear. None have openly stated it, but it is generally accepted that they do not enjoy direct contact with strangers and prefer to alienate themselves as much as possible from other species.

Most seem to have particular joy in their ability to outsmart one another and generally speaking this is how they come to an eventual conclusion of who is in charge.

They have a reputation as illusionists. Qwuedeviv are very creative—usually in most devious ways. They take pride in tossing others into complete confusion and creating false truths for them to follow. This illusion quality appears both in their physical design and in their mentality.

Although the Qwuedeviv love to touch various things to learn about them, it is interestingly enough, unacceptable to come into physical contact with others of their species unless deemed necessary by their military leaders or during fights. At all other times, Qwuedeviv generally avoid contact like a plague. This is most likely why displays of affection are such horrifying concepts to many of them.

It has been proven more than once that after their initial fear of physical contact with outside species has subsided they actually do seem to enjoy it—in small quantities anyway. Qwuedeviv kittens on the other hand, enjoy being very close to other Qwuedeviv. They will often snuggle up together or give another a friendly face lick. Why Qwuedeviv see this contact in such a negative light later on is simply because they feel it diminishes their tough image. Most Qwuedeviv do not realize that their species is fluffy and considered cute by most anyway.

Clothing:
The Qwuedeviv have quite a few different sets of clothing depending on status and such. Their outfits are mostly standardized. They feel this makes them appear united and also works for quick identification of role.

Casual wear is considered to be a simple, relatively snug fitting, long sleeve that zips up the front along with simple pants with connected footwear. Casual wear has may or may not have any markings the Qwuedeviv's fur naturally has. These outfits come in three colors.

White is the color of all Qwuedeviv in training.

Gray is the color Qwuedeviv wear having graduated from training, but have not proved to be above average in military worth.

Black is the color Qwuedeviv wear whom have proven themselves above average value to military efforts.

Also noteworthy, each level of casual outfit is awarded with stripes. The max is usually three before a rank up is in order. In some cases where a Qwuedeviv has shown outstanding results but does not possess the experience, a red-orange stripe is given. This is a high honor.

A red-orange stripe on black casual wear indicates an officer—although most officers are in uniform at all times.

All casual wear possess a patch on the right arm with the Qwuedeviv pawprint insignia in the color of the division they are in.

Their official uniform for scouting consists of one solid piece including the hood and footwear. This 'suit' blends in a lot less than they realize with the culture around themselves. These uniforms of their's resemble to a great degree, footed pajamas with hoods. They do not exactly get the idea that most species wear footwear which they refer to as shoes, and that their clothing is not a single article from head to toe.

Older models of the invader’s uniform could be manually changed from one solid color to another. Second edition models came out that would automatically adjust to the solid color that best fit with their surroundings. Now their suits have a cloaking ability that allows the suit to change to several colors at once and create a complex camouflage. The material itself does not actually change color but rather reflects the objects around it. Due to high costs of production, only elites tend to get the latest versions, whereas Qwuedeviv in missions that are not high risk or priority get the first models.

There are also standard uniforms for the various military divisions.

Voidsharks wear black with very light yellow trim

Army wears a dual shade of green with black boots and gloves.

Navy wears dual shades of blue with black boots and gloves.

Airforce wears black and red orange with black boots and gloves.

Any of the above uniform categories may be accompanied by their standard headgear.

Qwuedeviv who hold actual ranks and positions in their military leadership likewise have individual uniforms and colors that are much more complex than the others and nearly too numerous to name. They are more traditional in appearance; most include head gear of some kind. Qwuedeviv are apparently fond of covering their heads.

Names:
Although the Qwuedeviv have actual names that usually have an apostrophe or two in the mix, they adopt what they consider to be "normal" names to aid in their blending in with other cultures. Unfortunately, they seem to have a slight misconception of what normal is. They will often take a common word and proclaim it as their name. Likewise they may also take words they like the sound of, or a combination of things they have heard on TV and use it as their name.

For example,

Qyrvus Mur'rak (Smiley)
Shkie Qe'xonn (Love ‘n Hearts)
Talaf Yee’eq (Do not Refrigerate)
Ekiipi Auq'tac (Fishsticks)
Inquos Vuuxza’bah (Pokeyoo)
Krukeke Cru’ax (Loan Shark)
Greyar Untay'nnarr (Licorice Gumdrop)
Blial M'Trilou (Q)

An important note on Invader Names. A Qwuedeviv can choose to change its invader name as often as it pleases, however most will stick to one for the duration of their life, after all it is like a nickname.

Relationship With Other Species:
Qwuedeviv find themselves to be highly superior to any other species. This self-proclaimed importance makes them fairly uncivil with others. They originally wanted to show off that they were cool and thus a worthy friend, but their plan did not go according to plan and the others did not like them. So in turn, the Qwuedeviv decided that they didn’t like anyone either.

Random Facts:

Captured Qwuedeviv often are most concerned about hiding their faces from their captors.

The Qwuedeviv are known to make strange, consecutive clicking noises as well as dual-toned high pitched shrieks. That aside, they make a lot of sounds similar to a cat and are generally very vocal creatures.

Qwuedeviv strive to destroy individuality in their culture. This is why they all dress in a similar fashion and are raised under such odd circumstances. The Qwuedeviv believe they are better united in this fashion.

Even though they are obsessed with adding more territory to what they currently possess, their current home is far from being over populated.

Some electronic devices as well as electricity are known to interfere with their illusionary eye disguise.

Given in their own culture it is perfectly acceptable to go around touching whatever they please, Qwuedeviv can at times find themselves in trouble—or looked at strangely—in other cultures where it is not as acceptable.

It is acceptable to call a Qwuedeviv by either its invader name or official name as long as only Qwuedeviv are present.

All Qwuedeviv have gills.

Qwuedeviv have very soft, sensitive feet, thus they prefer to have some kind of covering on them at all times.

Because I needed to fix a couple things and add some stuff. So here. Have some additional 'deviv info. I think you all know what the Qwuedeviv look like XP So no numerous links this time.

Qwuedeviv FAQCan I make a Qwuedeviv of my own?
Certainly, but be sure to read over their species information.
How much can I change from a Qwuedeviv’s base appearance?
A Qwuedeviv essentially looks like a noseless cat with some fish like attributes—that is ‘normal’ for a Qwuedeviv. There are others on occasion but such oddities are rare and should be used as such when creating.
Can I make a Qwuedeviv that isn't from Qwuh-9?
Some still live on their original home planet in an entirely different lifestyle--more as intelligent pets. These Qwuedeviv travel with their alien owners. As an overall though, all Qwuedeviv start their lives on Qwuh-9 aside from extremely rare occasions.
Do Qwuedeviv have noses?
No. They have gills that often aren’t that visible.
Can Qwuedeviv leave the military life?
Occasionally one does—never in groups or clans though. They have to be a character of no importance as otherwise the Qwuedeviv leadership wil

There's a FAQ document. But basically they're made with mixing DNA of other devivs in these little incubation pod things. That's a vague description of it XD as there's one that goes with how the species was established and more but, if you're looking for a short answer, it's something like that.

Three questions, first:
Are Artic Qwueds (Hard to me to say the name entirely) colour just blue and white? or there can be some colours like black and others?

Two:
If theres a Qwuedeviv that doesnt fight and involucres science and techonology (Like, example, researching new weapons for their military), it would be in what category?

Third:
There are some sort of... uh, how i can put it... "Anti tank specialists"? or some sort of "Anti vehicle specialists"?, its just that i want my Qwued with a Anti Tank rifle :7

Oh no, arctics can be any color, they generally just have thicker fur than others.

Two:
Yes there is. =)

Third:
Sure that's fine. I would imagine they would have something like that. c=

Oh okay, thanks for that

2:
Oh, they are fixed species or they can be any specie (For example, it can be any Qwuedeviv type, even Aquatic Qwuedeviv, or they should be a specific type of Qwuedeviv)

3:
Oh, okay, now theres a good reason why my Qwuedeviv got a AT rifle
Btw, User Qwuedeviv can interact with normal Qwuedeviv?

(Sorry by answering late, Internet errors and Google Chrome suck)

arctic is a fixed 'breed' basically. Think cat, (species) and then siamese (breed). Arctic is their breed.

as for your other question they can interact, but people don't like establish relations. Unless we've made some kind of agreement.

And no worries. =o

I would like to answer your question myself but unfortunately I have a really hard time communicating with all my present health issues. So what I'm gonna try to do, is tell my fellow admin my general thoughts, and then he'll reply to you with a more in depth answer. =) I have a really hard time thinking so I don't want to accidentally word things badly and make it sound mean or confusing by accident.

He'll message you shortly I assume.

So since they can't smell very well at all, does that mean their taste is limited as well? I have a cousin who cant smell and can only taste the basic tastes of like bitter, sweet and salty (thus he REALLY likes french toast lol)
Or can they smell with their mouths like cats sometimes do?

Also, if they are considered amphibious kinda, are they cold blooded? XD

Last question, I'm workin on a Qwuedeviv and I'm wonderin, could I give it something akin to shoes? like just not attached as a full outfit? or is that not allowed?
I was thinking cause I myself hate wearing socks or shoes for an extended amount of time and like to stretch my toes out but its no big deal if its not a thing :3

Qwuedeviv sense of taste isn't amazing, but they can taste stuff. Their cousin species, the qwuedezoa, can't really taste at all though haha. As for their blood they're actually poikilothermic. It's a big fancy word that basically means their internal temperature varies, and is dictated by their environment. Therefore they have to be careful not to overheat or freeze. It is more or less a kind of cold-bloodedness c=

Shoes are fine =o

Could I make one myself? And also what do you mean by Morphing creatures? And how are they shark-like cats with the attributes of said sharks?

Sure. So long as you follow the guidelines.

Morphing basically refers to their slight differences they get as they grow up. Thicker fur for arctics, more colorful for tropical etc.

As far as attributes go, everything in the doc covers all that. Their face shape isn't entirely cat-like they're technically amphibians and they have sharklike teeth, with rows that can grow behind rows. They're mostly kitty looking though.

Oh its current =o that's just not really the conclusion of what they are. They only morph slightly in their kittens years. Adults moving from place to place don't change appearance. And it's only within their species' realm of possibilities that they can sort of morph to. Like aquatics sometimes have webbed toes etc. Arctic tend to have morefluff.
